About Me

My goal as a teacher is to conduct my classes with authenticity, joy, and an embodied passion for the material.

Background: I have been a practitioner and a certified teacher of yoga for over 20 years. Although I’ve meditated on and off over the years, my career as a Theatre Producer while raising two kids left me little space to really take care of my self. It was a physical injury several years ago that finally encouraged me to “go inward”— committing to a regular meditation practice.

Training: My discovery of 'shining light on the here and now’ through Mindful Meditation, led me to a two-year Teacher Certification Program taught by noted Ph.D. Buddhist psychologists, Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
With their wise counsel, and countless teachings from other experts in the field, those years proved to be the most spiritually enriching period of my life and I knew sharing Mindfulness with others was my life’s new calling.

When not ‘on the mat,’ you can find me hiking the East Bay hills with friends, attending local theatre with Bo, my arts attorney husband, or trying to keep up with our young Cockapoo, Albie! Bo and I love to travel and explore the local food scene with our adult kids whenever life allows!

About My Process

After 20 plus years of teaching yoga, I’ve developed a passion for helping people meet their capacity through yoga poses and breath.

I bring that same intention to the meditation ‘sit’ — inviting students to let go of their expectations and open up to whatever comes; to focus their attention and embrace loving kindness and compassion, as well as painful emotions, on the path to liberation.

Whether you’re brand new to meditation or you have an on-again/off-again relationship with it, there’s a class suited to meet your needs providing an opportunity to be in community with others, either on-line or in-studio.

Together we’ll explore various meditation anchors: breath, body scans and sounds. We’ll practice being instead of doing and learn the value of pausing instead of giving in to reactivity.

After just several sessions, students report improved relationships with their loved ones, clearer communication with colleagues and most importantly - the ability to be with whatever comes up for them in their day-to-day lives without wanting to pull the covers up over their heads!
