Let go of your expectations and be open to whatever comes.

My Classes

After 20 plus years of teaching yoga, I’ve developed a passion for helping people meet their capacity through yoga poses and breath.

I bring that same intention to the meditation ‘sit,’ inviting students to focus their attention on the path to liberation.

Mindful Meditation

Tuesdays, 8am-9am via Zoom (online)
Weekly Drop-In | Pre-Registration Required

A weekly 25-30 minute lightly guided meditation using different anchors (breath, body scans, sounds) in an effort to create conscious awareness with loving kindness. The meditation provides an opportunity for you to show up with whatever is going on in your life and together, in any given week, we’ll explore liberation from thoughts, working with difficult emotions, loving kindness, compassion, pain, joy, fear and so much more. The meditation is followed by a short thematic talk with some time left at the end for questions-and-answers. The class runs from 45-60 minutes and you are welcome to join for all or part of the class as it serves you.

This class is offered on a sliding scale with a suggested contribution of $15. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The Qigong blends naturally into traditional yoga asanas using a simple metal chair, as well as other props, to enhance strength and increase flexibility. The class ends in deep relaxation with a fifteen minute guided meditation.

Vipassana Out Loud

(private meditation sessions)

A 30-minute private session (online or in-studio) during which the student is gently guided into meditation and then has the opportunity to go deeper, one-on-one, with the teacher. These sessions can be particularly helpful for students who are struggling with a particular emotional issue, as well as for those who wish to explore different issues that come up for them.
The student is encouraged to notice and name out-loud whatever is prominent in their experience and practice being with it.

Please contact Karen directly if you are interested in learning more about, or scheduling, a private session.
